Kent Dahlia Society

The Kent Dahlia Society is open to anyone who is interested in Dahlias, whether they wish to exhibit them or just enjoy growing them for general garden use – everyone is welcome.

Society members come not just from Kent, but many other counties, including Essex, Surrey, Sussex. Our membership includes those who belong just because they enjoy dahlias and grow them for pleasure in their garden, to those who are well established national exhibitors who take part in the National Dahlia Society shows.

Our Society has meetings 5 times a year, in the evening, at Otford.  We also have two Plant Sales and an Annual Show in September.

Shows:      The Annual Show, which includes open classes, is held at Otford Village Memorial Hall, High Street, Otford.  This Show is one of the largest in the South East, attracting exhibitors of national standard.  This, however, does not deter the less experienced exhibitor from entering – all are welcome.

We also have a Members Dahlia Show and a Members Daffodil Show.

Plant Sales:           Two sales a year - in May and June – in Otford.  Dahlia plants of exhibition quality are available together with a selection of general garden plants – bedding, vegetables etc.

Members Meetings:         Members meetings are held at Otford on a variety of subjects, including, of course, Dahlias.

Membership Fee:  For the year January to December the fee is £2.50 per individual member.

All are welcome to join – we have a very friendly membership

If you are interested in joining the Society or would like information on our open events i.e Annual Show and Plant Sales - please contact the Secretary, who will be pleased to hear from you.
