About Us

Details

The society has been in existence since 1833 making it one of the more established societies in the county.

If you are new to gardening and have a desire to learn, we have a wealth of knowledge amongst the membership and will be very pleased to help you. Alternatively, you may be an experienced gardener, in which case membership will allow you to share your knowledge with those who may have less experience. Regardless of your skills, we hope you will learn something new through our varied speakers.
We aim to share our knowledge and experiences to allow every member to enjoy  all aspects of gardening and to this end we have a number of speakers each year who present on a wide range of subjects. We also plan to begin visiting places of interest to our members.
We are affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society and the Kent Federation of Horticultural Societies.

Membership

We have approximately 30members across a wide range of ages and membership is £15.00 per year.
Non-members are welcome to attend talks with a cover charge of £2.00
